Privacy policy for Matteresan

Matteresan is a maths app for schools by Wallgrn Studios. It is built to collect no personal data. We receive nothing about pupils or teachers.

Stored on the device only

Player alias and avatar, answers, stars and map progress, skill evidence for grade 3, Practice Run answers, self-assessments, adult notes on talk cards, handwriting samples and settings. There is no server, no login, no accounts and no cloud sync from the app.

Classroom quiz

When several iPads in the same room compete, name, avatar and answers are sent encrypted directly between the iPads (Apple MultipeerConnectivity). Nothing passes through the internet or reaches us.

Exports

After an adult check, the skills report can be exported through the iPad share sheet. The adult chooses the recipient; we do not receive it.

What the app does not do

No ads, tracking, analytics or third-party SDKs. No real-money purchases. No camera, microphone, location or contacts access.

Schools

The school is the data controller for processing on its devices. Because we process no personal data on the school's behalf, no data processing agreement (DPA) is needed. Details in Swedish: Dataskydd för skolor.
