Privacy Policy

FrameMate is designed around your own photo library. This policy explains what the app accesses, what leaves your device, and the controls available to you.

FrameMate contains no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking technology.

1. Who is responsible

Wallgrn Studios is responsible for personal data that we receive directly, such as information you choose to send in a support request. Contact us at support@wallgrn.com.

2. Data FrameMate handles

Photos and videos

With your permission, FrameMate accesses photos and videos that you make available through Apple’s Photos permission. The app reads media, thumbnails, dates, media type, dimensions, duration, and—when present—location metadata to let you select moments, group trips, score image quality, identify near-duplicates, compose scenes, and play slideshows.

Private albums

When you add photos, videos, or files to a private album, FrameMate keeps an encrypted copy in the app’s local storage. Private-album content does not synchronize through iCloud or CloudKit and is excluded from device backup. It is protected by a separate code and, if you choose, Face ID. FrameMate processes private-album content only on your device.

Music

When you choose music from the Music app or import an audio file from Files, FrameMate uses the selected music only to play your slideshow. Imported audio is stored locally with the app. FrameMate does not send music selections or audio files to Wallgrn Studios.

On-device image analysis

FrameMate may use Apple’s on-device Vision technology to detect faces, subjects, and image quality so it can suggest and compose scenes. The analysis and its results stay on your device.

Project information

FrameMate stores the projects you create, including project titles, theme and playback settings, scene order and layout, trim points, and identifiers that reference selected items in your Photos library. FrameMate does not copy full-resolution photos or videos into its project database.

Support information

If you email us, we receive your email address and any information you include in the message. Please do not send private media unless we specifically ask for it and you agree.

3. How data is used

Photo-library and project data is used only to provide app functionality: selecting media, creating and editing slideshows, playback, organizing saved projects, and synchronizing project structure when iCloud is available. Support information is used to answer and resolve your request. We do not use this information for advertising, behavioral profiling, or tracking.

4. Storage and private iCloud synchronization

Project information is stored locally using Apple’s SwiftData. When the necessary iCloud service is available, project structure and PhotoKit references may synchronize through a private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account. The underlying photos and videos remain managed by your Photos library and iCloud Photos settings.

CloudKit is operated by Apple. Private CloudKit data is associated with your Apple Account and protected by Apple’s platform security. If CloudKit is unavailable, FrameMate falls back to local storage.

Private albums are separate from this synchronization. They remain encrypted in local app storage and are not included in CloudKit or device backups.

5. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Apple provides the App Store, Photos, iCloud, CloudKit, operating-system permissions, and related infrastructure. Apple processes information under its own terms and privacy policy and provides platform protections for private CloudKit data.

6. Retention and deletion

Projects remain on your device and, when enabled, in your private iCloud storage until you delete them or remove the app’s associated iCloud data through Apple’s settings. Private-album content remains only on your device until you delete it from the private album or delete the private album. Revoking Photos access prevents future access but does not automatically delete saved project records. Deleting or moving a source item in Photos may make it unavailable to a project.

Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to handle the request, maintain a record of the resolution, or meet legal obligations.

7. Your choices

  • Choose limited or full Photos access and change it at any time in iOS Settings.
  • Delete individual projects and private-album items inside FrameMate.
  • Manage app data stored in iCloud through your Apple Account and iCloud settings.
  • Delete or move source photos and videos in the Photos app.
  • Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to our processing of personal data, and to receive data you provided in a portable format. These rights principally apply to information we can identify and control, such as support correspondence. To exercise a right, contact support@wallgrn.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY, or your local supervisory authority.

9. Children

FrameMate is a general-audience creative tool and is not directed specifically to children. The app does not require an account and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal data through the app.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when FrameMate’s features or data practices change. The date above identifies the current version.
