Privacy policy
In short: AtlasGo Junior does not collect, store or share any personal data. The app contains no code for networking, analytics, ads or tracking. Everything you do in the game stays on your device.
1. Scope of this policy
This policy covers the AtlasGo Junior mobile app for iPhone and iPad, and the website wallgrn.com/atlasgo-junior. It describes what data is processed, by whom and why.
Personuppgiftsansvarig är Markus Wallgren, Umeå, Sweden. Behandlingen följer EU:s dataskyddsförordning (GDPR).
2. Data we do not collect
The app is built without collection. This is not a setting that can be changed — the functionality does not exist in the code. Concretely, the app does not collect, receive or transmit:
- names, email addresses, phone numbers or dates of birth
- account or login details — the app has no sign-in
- device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP addresses or IDFA
- location data or GPS position
- contacts, photos, microphone or camera
- usage statistics, crash reports or analytics data
- data for advertising, profiling or marketing
The app contains no networking code and no third-party SDKs for analytics or advertising. All content — maps, questions, fact cards — is bundled inside the app and works in aeroplane mode.
3. What is stored on the device
So the game can remember where you are, some information is stored locally on the device in the app's own protected storage. It is never sent anywhere and is not accessible to us.
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| A player name you choose yourself | So the app can greet you. May be a nickname. | Until you change it or delete the app |
| Points, rounds, streak days and records | Progress and personal bests | Until the app is deleted |
| Correct and wrong answers per place, plus the review schedule | To show difficult places again at the right time | Until the app is deleted |
| Mastery stars, passport stamps and awards | In-game rewards | Until the app is deleted |
| Settings for language, sound, music, speech and haptics | So the app behaves the way you want | Until the app is deleted |
How to delete everything
Uninstall the app. All local data is removed with it. Since nothing is stored with us, nothing remains anywhere else.
If you have iCloud backup enabled for your device, the app's local data may be included in your own backup. That backup belongs to you and is handled by Apple under Apple's terms — we have no access to it.
4. Children and parents
AtlasGo Junior is made for children. The app is therefore designed so that it does not need to process any personal data at all, which is the strongest protection we can offer.
- No ads and no ad tracking.
- No in-app purchases and no subscriptions.
- No links out to social media or external websites inside the game.
- No chat, no messaging and no contact with other users.
- No public leaderboard — the child's results are never compared with anyone else's.
The player name entered in the app is chosen by the user and does not need to be a real name. We recommend a first name or a nickname.
5. Apple's own processing
When you download the app from the App Store, Apple processes data about that download — for example your Apple Account and your purchase or download. That happens within Apple's own relationship with you and is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy, not by this policy.
As a developer we can see aggregated, anonymous statistics from Apple in App Store Connect, such as the number of downloads per country. That data cannot be linked to any individual, and we cannot see who uses the app.
If you choose to share crash reports with developers via iOS (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), we may receive de-identified technical crash logs through Apple. This is off unless you have turned it on yourself, and contains no personal data.
6. This website
The website uses no cookies, no visitor analytics and no third-party embeds. There are no tracking pixels, no external fonts and no social widgets. All CSS, JavaScript and graphics are served from the same domain as the page.
The web server may, like any web server, keep a technical request log containing IP address, timestamp and which page was requested. Such logs are used solely for operation and security and are rotated regularly. We do not use them to track visitors.
7. Väntelistan
The home page has a form for getting an email when the app is released. At present nothing is sent. The form validates the address in your browser and shows a confirmation, but the address never leaves your device and is stored nowhere.
If the waiting list is activated, this policy will be updated before any address is collected. In that case the address will be used only for a single message announcing availability, will not be shared or sold, and will be deleted after that message or whenever you ask.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection, as well as the right to data portability.
Since we store no personal data about you, there is in practice nothing for us to disclose, correct or erase. Your game progress exists only on your own device and you control it entirely — you delete it by uninstalling the app.
You always have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Sweden that is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
9. Ändringar
If the policy changes, the date and version number at the top of the page are updated. Material changes — especially if the app were ever to begin processing personal data — will be described clearly and will not be applied retroactively.
Earlier versions can be requested at the contact address below.
